Ticketing

All tickets for events in the GW Commencement Week registration system are complimentary—they are not for sale or resale.

Separate tickets are required for both:

Commencement - 5 guest tickets available .
School Celebrations- To view the number of guest tickets for your School Celebration, visit the Schedule.

Graduates must register themselves and claim guest tickets and send them to their guests ahead of time before each ceremony.

You can update your registration at any time before the deadline.

Important Notice - Tickets for Commencement and School Celebrations do not grant access to other events such as department events. These may require separate RSVPs or tickets. Contact individual event organizers for details.

StagePass

Once registration closes graduates that registered for Commencement week events will receive their StagePass on [ADD DATE].

Guest Tickets

Guests cannot register themselves—only graduates can request tickets on their behalf. Tickets are required for all guests who will be 2 years of age, or older, by Commencement Week 2025. Any guest who will be younger than 2 years old does not require a ticket and must sit in the lap of a ticketed guest.

What guests should do:

Confirm your graduate has requested your ticket before the deadline and used your correct email.
Watch for a confirmation email with your ticket and QR code.
Download it to your mobile wallet, take a screenshot, or print it.
Be ready to show your QR code at the entry gate. If you're holding tickets for others, they must enter with you and we recommend printing each individual ticket for faster entry into the event.

Extra Tickets

Graduates will have the opportunity to request extra guest tickets during the registration process. However, requesting extra tickets does not guarantee they will be granted. Ticket availability is based on venue capacity and is determined by each individual school. If your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions.

If you need additional tickets and know another graduate who has extras, they may send their unused tickets to you. You can then forward those tickets directly to your guests.
