GW staff in academic dress during 2018 Commencement ceremony

Faculty & Staff

Members of the faculty are invited to march in the procession at Commencement on the National Mall on Sunday, May 17, 2020.

Members of the faculty, who would like to participate in Commencement on the National Mall, will be able to register at a later date. You must provide your own regalia for the event.

If you have any questions, please contact University Events at 202-994-7129 or [email protected].

Custom Regalia

Faculty who are participating in the commencement ceremonies may need to wear regalia. If you wish to purchase custom regalia appropriate to your alma mater, it takes approximately six weeks from the time of purchase for manufacturing and shipping. We strongly recommend that you order by March 24th.  Many faculty & staff choose to rent non-school-specific regalia which does not have the long lead time.
