University Commencement brings students of all schools together for the conferral of their degrees. Individual names are not called—graduates rise as their degrees are called out by the deans and President Knapp confers the degrees.

7:00 a.m.     Metro service begins

 

7:30 a.m.     Continuous shuttle service between campus and the National Mall

        begins

 

8:30 a.m.     Graduates should arrive wearing their regalia and line up by school

 

9:00 a.m.     All guests should be seated

 

9:30 a.m.     Academic processions begin

 

10:00 a.m.   Ceremony begins

 

11:30 a.m.   Ceremony concludes

 

1:00 p.m.     Shuttle service between campus and the National Mall concludes
